Current Hair Care Favorites

Hey babes!! Happy Friday!! Today, I’m sharing with you some of my favorite hair care products. It can be so hard to find good quality products that are affordable AND work for your hair type! Believe you me, I’ve tried my fair share of products, but these ones are the tried and true products I’ve been using for the past couple years and love them all! They’re all cruelty free and all amazing so, without further ado, lets jump into it!

  1. Kenra 25 Hairspray – This stuff you guys!! This is my absolute favorite hairspray and I use it ALL the time! It’s a strong hold hairspray that’ll keep your updo in place or your curls bouncy without making your hair stiff. That’s why I love it so so much, it retains your hairstyle without taking away movement from your hair. A word of caution with this one: make sure you’re holding it 7 or 8 inches away from your hair or you will get too much in one spot and that spot will get super crunchy. It took me a few tries to figure out how to use this hairspray, but once I did, I was in love!
  2. Batiste Dry Shampoo Ok I’m sure at this point most of you have hopped on the dry shampoo train or at least tried it before. I’ve personally tried many lol. Batiste is the first one I found that has a tinted dry shampoo for brunettes! My problem with other dry shampoos was mainly that because they were white, they made my hair look dull after I used them. If you have dark brown hair, you know that even just a little white in your hair sticks out like a sore thumb. This dry shampoo smells great, is affordable and, in my opinion, is comparable to more expensive brands!
  3. Giovani Frizz Be GoneIf you use any heat on your locks at all or if you have naturally dry hair, you need to be using a serum or oil of some sort! If your hair is on the thinner side or if it’s oilier, an oil will be better since they aren’t as thick. If your hair is dry or thicker, a serum will be great. Giovani is one of my favorite natural hair care brands. It’s also super affordable and you can usually find it at the grocery store! This serum smells sooooo amazing and its definately on the thicker side so you only need a small amount. The good thing about that, though, is that it lasts forever! I always use this after I’ve blow dried my hair or on second or third day hair to smooth out any frizzies 😊.
  4. Kenra Dry Texture SprayThis is my favorite texture spray to use after I’ve curled my hair! I love it because it adds grip and texture, which is especially great if your trying to braid clean hair, without weighing down your hair. It’s super light and you only need a little bit. I spray it through my curled hair and then run my fingers through my hair to break up the curls.
  5. Coconut OilI’ve had coconut oil on hand consistently for a few years now. I used it as a hair mask once a few years back and hated it. I had washed my hair and then used the oil as a conditioner and it left my hair so greasy, I had to wash it again the next day (my head was literally seeping oil lol). Last year, I tried it again but used it as a pre- shampoo mask and my hair felt so smooth when I got out of the shower. It also was a lot less tangley then normal! Coconut oil adds so much moisture to your hair! It can also stimulate hair growth and prevent split ends and breakage. If you want to give it a try, add some to your dry hair 10 minutes to an hour before you wash your hair. I also like to throw my hair up into a messy bun to keep it out of the way. Then wash your hair like normal and be careful because sometimes when you rinse out the oil, your shower can become a bit slippery! I do this about once a month and I swear my hair is so much healthier because of it!!
  6.  Living Proof Restore Perfecting SprayThis is one of those products that is great for everyone no matter your hair type. This product is conditioning, detangling, a heat protectant and a UV protectant! It also includes Living Proofs Healthy Hair Molecule and has timed release conditioners that smooths and relaxes your hair. It’s a little pricey, but I promise it’s so worth it and if you only wash your hair once a week like I do, it will last you!!

Woohoo! So now you have six life changing products you can try if your looking for something new to try or to replace one of your current products! Let me know if you try any of them and have a beautiful rest of your week!!

xoxo
