Last Minute Meaningful, Mindful Gift Guide

December 16, 2020

Hello love! Christmas is coming so fast this year. I don’t know about you, but I always end up scrambling right before Christmas for a few last minute gifts. Sometimes it takes me a while to decide on a gift for a friend or family member because I don’t want to fill up someone’s home with random stuff. If you’re like me, not to worry! I’ve put together a little gift guide of items that are affordable, easy to get your hands on and useful!

  1. Homemade Vanilla Extract: For anyone who loves to cook, bake or just loves homemade things, this is a super easy gift to put together. All you need is vodka, a small glass bottle and a few vanilla beans (go to Costco for these!). If you’d like a tutorial on how to make this, check out my Instagram reels!!
  2. Candles: They smell good, they’re relaxing and there are tons of brands that use non-toxic ingredients. I really love Lucin intention candles! They’re great for a yoga practice, bubble bath or just to make your home smell wonderful!
  3. Mrs. Meyer’s Cleaning Set: This one might seem kind of lame, but if you have a Monica (if you know, you know 😉 ) in your life a gift like this will be appreciated. I really love practical gifts like this that save me a trip to the grocery store or to Target and, let’s be real, we all could probably use an extra bottle or two of hand soap this year.
  4. Herb Plants: If you know anyone who loves to cook or garden, a live herb plant would make a great present. A few that are pretty easy to grow are basil, mint and rosemary. I’d recommend getting a young plant instead of seeds because, unless someone is an experienced gardener, seeds can be tricky. Watching a plant grow and getting to use it in your food is so fun and rewarding!
  5. Guided Journal: We all could use a little more self reflection! I’ve heard a lot of people say they want to journal but don’t know how to start. Enter a guided journal. These are great because they’re filled with little prompts to get the juices flowing. Honestly, I’d probably get this for someone even if they’ve never brought up journaling because it’s a healthy habit for anybody!
  6. CBD Oil or Salve: CBD oil has so many benefits! It can relieve pain, help with anxiety and reduce acne. If you know someone who has chronic pain or is athletic and often has sore muscles, a CBD salve would be perfect! Linked is my favorite CBD brand!
  7. Healthy Cookbooks: For the avid cook, the person wanting to get in better shape or the college student needing to figure out how to make meals for themselves, cookbooks are great! When I first moved out of my parents house, my mom and dad bought me a cookbook that I still use and love to this day (I’ll link it here). Well + Good is another cookbook that I just recently purchased that has lots of healthy easy to make meals, smoothies, desserts and more!
  8. Bath Salts: Sometimes we all need an excuse to put down our to-do list and relax. I think it’s safe to say that most of us know a person or two who could use that excuse for Christmas!
  9. Essential Oils: This is a gift that’s great for pretty much anybody (except for maybe people like my dad who get a headache if you wear an extra spritz of perfume). Essential oils can be diffused, used topically and sometimes ingested! Such a small gift with so many uses! I love lavender and orange oil to diffuse and peppermint oil for aches and sore muscles. The brand I’ve linked is great as well. Not only do they list every ingredient, but they also tell you where it’s sourced from. How great is that??
  10. Poo-Pourri: I’m definitely not kidding! For the friend or family member that loves a good laugh, this is perfect! It’s useful, it’s made with natural ingredients and it’s just a funny thing to make someone open up in front of other people!

That is a wrap, my friend! I hope you found yourself thinking of people you know who would appreciate some of these gifts! If you did, make sure you check the links for the items so you can get them before Christmas! Happy shopping and happy holidays from my little reindeer and I!!

xoxo
